Irregular shifts and especially night shifts are more stress than most people believe, simply because humans aren't really built for that. Some people can put that away no problem, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. Especially if you're mentally ill (I'm bipolar and officially banned from working irregular shifts and nights/late evenings because of it).
Maybe it's a good thing you get some more time to think it over.
